Important information about grades If you are a member of the NKR you must fill in the registration form, registration with the EKF is then done by the NKR secretary. Other exam participants and not a member of the NKR must follow the rules below:
(1) register your exam with the EKF - this must be done via the EKF contact person for your country;
(2) also register on the agenda form with us for payment. We receive a list of international candidates from the EKF, if you are on that list, you have permission from your federation and we therefore do not need any separate proof.
Regarding the iaido exams, these will be held with the following kata division:
– ikkyu to sandan: 5 ZNKR shitei waza
– yondan: 1 koryu waza, 4 ZNKR shitei waza
– godan: 1 koryu waza, 4 ZNKR shitei waza
From ikkyu there are also written exams, the questions of which are announced well in advance of the exam, via email. Make sure that your email address is entered correctly, you will receive the written questions at this address.
